Maternal Allloimmunization Foundation (MAF) is a patient run non profit that provides advocacy and support to those affected by maternal alloimmunization and its comorbid condition, hemolytic disease of the fetus and newborn. MAF aims to prevent stillbirth and neonatal mortality and morbidity caused by HDFN. We intend to provide patient support through education and have the intent to aid in the improvement of healthcare practices for the conditions. All members of our organization have been directly affected by maternal alloimmunization and its resulting HDFN. We feel very strongly in our desire to represent and support those also affected by this rare condition. We provide patients and their families with emotional support and education about the condition while empowering our families to be advocates for their healthcare as we firmly believe it is an essential part of a positive outcome. We strive to increase awareness through patient and provider outreach and support medical research and advancements in the treatment and prevention of HDFN.
