In a recent paper by Haynes et al., the authors discuss " simulation dosage vs frequency" in maintaining the competence of time-critical skills for saving newborns (https://lnkd.in/gKzQ3G29 ) As Prof. Victoria Brazil points out in this commentary, we are finally beginning to see plausible and valuable metrics and evidence on how educational design in simulation influences the potential of maintaining competence once it has been obtained. #helpingsavelives #healthcaresimulation

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Simulation Program had a great time facilitating an interactive tour of the simulation lab at AAP headquarters for members of the AAP Section on Transport Medicine, the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Services, and the Association of Air Medical Services! Attendees refreshed their CPR skills using Resuscitation Quality Improvement® programming (RQI Partners, LLC), practiced their intubation techniques on the SimNewB® manikin co-created by Laerdal Medical and the AAP, and demoed the Equity & Anti-Racism in Global Healthcare virtual reality training module co-created by Bodyswaps and the AAP. #AAPSimulation #Simulation #RQI #LaerdalMedical #Bodyswaps
