About us
Inova Children's provides award-winning services devoted to the healthcare of infants, children and adolescents in the Northern Virginia area. We have experts from more than 40 pediatric subspecialties and some of the area’s largest programs for children, including one of the area’s largest heart programs with pediatric cardiology and cardiac surgery. The nationally recognized, 226-bed Inova L. J. Murphy Children’s Hospital houses comprehensive medical services and specialists who focus on the unique treatment of younger patients. We are also ranked among the best in the nation in neonatology by U.S. News & World Report. Inova’s five hospitals are consistently recognized by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals and Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades for excellence in healthcare. Inova is home to Northern Virginia’s only Level 1 Trauma Center and Level 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Its hospitals have a total of 1,936 licensed beds.
