Today, we honor our beloved service dog Bailey with a special tribute. Our CEO, Mark Wallace, penned a touching blog post about Bailey's journey at Texas Children's to mark her retirement. In memory of their beloved dog Cadence, the Wallaces made a generous donation and pledge to fund Bailey's presence at Texas Children's. Their kindness has indirectly touched thousands of lives, bringing comfort and joy to our patients and staff alike. Bailey, your legacy of love and healing will forever be cherished. A Heartwarming Reunion: Jade, Bailey, and the Care Team Yesterday, we shared a touching video highlighting the special bond between our service dog, Bailey, who is retiring this week, and our patient Jade. Today, as we continue to celebrate Bailey's retirement with some of her most memorable moments, we're delighted to share a heartwarming reunion between Jade, Bailey, and Jade's Texas Children's care team. These moments remind us why we do what we do and why Texas Children's is such a special place. Bailey has touched the lives of countless patients, families, and team members. We're grateful for her dedication and the love she's shared. Adair Winget, Bailey's handler and child life specialist, states: “Bailey was made for me, and she was made for this environment. This is what she was created for. This is her purpose in life, and she has done nothing short of succeeding in that.” #TexasChildrensPeople #BeTheDifference #PawsitivePlay"
