This interactive session will review communication skills, using didactic and role-playing techniques, self-reflection and debriefing. Prior experience with difficult conversations and challenging patient encounters will be explored. Strategies for delivering bad news and responding to emotion will be presented, taking into account cultural diversity. Using child abuse cases, participants will practice their communication skills.
