Sahar completed residency at Children’s National Hospital in Washington DC in the Community Health Track, which centered around advocacy and health equity. Here, she gained experience in local and national advocacy, participating in hill days on Capitol Hill, advocating for bills at district government hearings. She also spent a month as a public policy fellow at the DC office of Health and Human Services. She has experience organizing trainee advocacy days and in community health based research. She currently serves as the advocacy chair for the Delaware chapter of the AAP.
