Dr. Sonja Ziniel is a survey methodologist, statistician and pediatric researcher with 15 years of experience in novel instrument development, survey design and psychometric validation. Dr. Ziniel has led the psychometric validation of several instruments, such as the Pediatric Inpatient Experience Survey (PIES - https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26796484), the Pediatric Integrated Care Survey (PICS - https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/27940672), and a tool measuring nurses’ values, knowledge, and implementation of evidence-based practice (Quick-EBP-VIK - https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/28152276). She has also led 7 successful workshops on various aspects of survey design at PHM and PAS over the last several years. She has been invited to national conferences to speak and published extensively on the development and validation of surveys and novel instruments since receiving her PhD in Survey Methodology from the University of Michigan.
