Priti Bhansali, M.D. MEd, is the associate program director for the Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship and director of the Children's Academy of Pediatric Educators at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC. Dr. Bhansali has a particular interest in scholarship development for fellows and faculty and holds multiple faculty development leadership roles at the local and national level. Dr. Bhansali is also an affiliate faculty member for the Child Health Advocacy Institute at Children’s National, and her clinical areas of interest include implementing practices to address health literacy and other social determinants of health and promoting safe transitions for patients at the time of hospital discharge.
Dr. Bhansali served as the first co-chair for the Peer Observation and Feedback Committee of the AAP's SOHM Education Subcommittee and has led multiple projects related to POF. She is part of the leadership team for the iSPOT program, a national QI project through the AAP to improve the practice of peer observation and feedback among pediatric hospitalists. She has also served as a co-chair for the Academic Pediatric Association's Faculty Development SIG and is the lead for the national advisors for the APA's Educational Scholars Program.
Dr. Bhansali is currently a member of the PAS Workshop Committee and a new faculty member for the Advancing Pediatric Educator Excellence (APEX) program.
