Dr. Nicole Webb is a Clinical Associate Professor (affiliated) of Pediatrics at Stanford University and a pediatric hospitalist and program director of the PHM Fellowship at Valley Children's Healthcare in Madera, CA. Within her institution she chairs the Medical Staff Education and Patient and Family-Centered Care committees and co-chairs the GME Subcommittee on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Regionally she is the Vice President of AAP California Chapter 1 and a board member of AAP California. Nationally she is a member of the Society of Hospital Medicine Pediatrics SIG Executive Council and co-chairs its group on diversity, equity and inclusion. She is also a member of the AAP Committee on Hospital Care. She is very active within the AAP Section on Hospital Medicine, on the steering committee for Women in PHM and as a longtime member of the Subcommittee on Education and its Peer Observation and Feedback group. She has extensive experience with peer observation and feedback, as a leader of multiple efforts at her own institution, and as a co-leader of iSPOT, a national quality improvement/MOC project sponsored by the AAP. Her clinical and scholarly interests center on advocacy for health equity, in particular for LGBTQ+ youth and other minoritized groups. She is passionate about patient and family-centered communication and intentionally linking scholarly efforts to the promotion of health equity. She has presented extensively on these topics regionally and nationally.
