This session will cover inherited mild bleeding disorders that are often difficult to recognize. Through case scenarios, pathologic bleeding signs and symptoms will be distinguished from normal bleeding patterns. Interpretation of relevant coagulation testing and when to refer to a pediatric hematologist will also discussed. Strategies to prevent and manage epistaxis and excessive uterine bleeding will be addressed.
