The new obligations imposed by the 20th Century Cures Act and how those relate to HIPAA are challenging and perplexing for pediatricians. EMR limitations complicate implementation and how this openness impacts the physician-family-patient relationship. This session will explore the accompanying medical-legal risks and pay close attention to adolescent privacy and confidentiality.
