We develop and process saliva-based diagnostics with a focus on neurodevelopmental disorders. Our tests use a simple, non-invasive saliva swab for sample collection and can be sent direct to the patient’s home or to the doctor’s office.

Our state-of-the-art Genomic Core Facility develops assays as a complement to the diagnostic process.  Genetic (DNA), epigenetic (RNA) and environmental factors play a vital role in many neurological conditions. The biomarkers we’ve found in saliva reflect brain function, which is a key factor in the detection and early diagnosis of some of these conditions.

We’re currently offering genetic tests for autism spectrum disorder (ASD), intellectual disabilities (ID), and Fragile X Syndrome (FXS).

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, our work in developing the most sensitive COVID saliva test on the market gave millions of New Yorkers access to PCR testing, and our high throughput labs allowed for a quick turn-around of results.
